Teaching and Research Conference
So as to guarantee the efficient implementation of the new semester’s teaching and research work as well as boost the quality of teaching and research activities, on the morning of 2nd September, Anqing Foreign Language School’s Junior High Department of the east campus convened the teaching& research working conference in the new term.
The conference consisted of two phases. In the first phase, at the conference room on the first floor of the administration building, the Junior High Section held the meeting for leaders of both the teaching& research group and the lesson preparation group. Deputy Director Wang Shengxiang chaired the meeting.
In the first place, Deputy Director Wang summarized last term’s teaching and research work as well as announced the assessment results of the teaching& research group.
In the second place, Deputy Director Wang arranged the teaching& research work in the new term, which could be elaborated as follows: One, each lesson preparation group was supposed to work out the teaching schedule and progress chart as soon as possible and hand them in within the allotted time; Two, each discipline group should make arrangements for demonstration lessons as well as teaching& research activities; Three, Deputy Director Wang Shengxiang introduced the proposition arrangements with regard to this semester’s several exams; Four, the specific requirements concerning collective lesson preparation activities, especially the policy of ‘Four Fixed Priorities’, which were fixed place, time, staff and assignments. All members of the lesson preparation group were supposed to exert themselves to pragmatically study teaching materials, learning conditions and teaching& learning methods; Five, the implementation of student activities should not be a mere formality. Instead, it was supposed to have innovation consciousness to arouse students’ interest in combination with discipline characteristics and showcase students’ favorable quality.
In the third place, Deputy Director Wang Shengxiang demanded that everybody think positively, painstakingly draw up plans and efficiently make them practicable.
In the second phase, each teacher with the teaching& research group gathered together, earnestly discussed the new term’s teaching& research arrangements in addition to formulating the teaching schedule and progress sheet in the new semester.
To conclude, this conference enabled teachers to make clear-cut objectives and assignments of the teaching& research activities in the new academic year so that all teachers were able to pay high attention to teaching& research and facilitate teaching by means of research in the meantime.
